Article Underground Review

January 15th, 2008

Here is my article underground review after being with them for the past 6 months.

Article
Underground is a PLR and content linking membership site. It cost $97 per month. What this means is
they provide their members with all sorts of tools to build, promote and profit
from monetised websites (i.e. the type with adverts on them). I guess AU are
mainly targeting the Adsense crowd, but there’s plenty for everyone.

The
main attraction to Article Underground is the 400 new keyword-targeted articles
available to members each month. That’s right -
four hundred a
month! I don’t know who the writers are, but I hope they have plenty of spare
keyboards! These articles are touted as highly
SEO-optimised and claimed to be “ban proof”. What they mean
by “ban proof” is this isn’t scraped content from other sites - it is real,
human-written text that won’t be seen as spam by search engine robots.

The
other half of
AU’s
system, are the 22 or so high pagerank blogs members can use to link to
individual articles published on their sites providing backlinks and “Google
Juice”.

What Is SEO?

June 6th, 2007

The one thing you quickly learn about the world of internet marketing is that it is full of abbreviations and jargon. SEO or search engine optimization is about structuring your site and your marketing efforts so that your site is positioned in the top 10 search engine results after a search is made that is related to your website. Its about matching up what customers or visitors are looking for with what you have to offer.

Any mention of optimization for search engines is usually followed closely by references to keyword research. There is little point optimizing your marketing efforts around a particular phrase if no one is actually using that phrase to search. But waiting until you have your site built to start worrying about whether you are providing what customers want is like setting up a retail outlet without first researching what kind of shop to set up.

Getting The Most Out Of Article Marketing

May 30th, 2007

As you know, having fresh content on your website and blog is key when it comes to getting search engine traffic. Many website owners and bloggers visit article reprint directories on a daily basis, in search of articles to use on their sites. When you submit an article to a directory, you are allowing other website owners and bloggers permission to add your article to their site – for free. However, they need to include an “about the author” box at the end of the article. You get to write what you want included in that box, so include a bit of information about the product or service you offer and include links to your site.

When the website owner or blogger puts your article up on the web, all of their readers will see your biography information and the links to your website. Your article could end up on hundreds or thousands of websites, and quite possibly, millions of people could end up reading it! Who knows how many people could click on your link?

It is very easy to find these reprint directories on the web. Just do a Google search on “free reprint article directories” and many listings will pop up. Some are highly targeted and feature only articles health articles; or only articles about food; and other directories are more general. You can submit your article to more than one directory, and there are even some software packages that will submit the articles for you.
