Keyword Elite Review

January 19th, 2008

Here is my keyword elite review. One
serious edge
you can gain with Keyword Elite is finding
out exactly what your competitors are doing. That’s right, you pull up
their ads, see what content their site is optimized for, how much they pay per
click, keyword density, alt tags, etc.

You can monitor their ads with time stamps
to tell if they’ve been effective or not over time. Try that with your current
keyword research tool.

My one wish for improvement with this
software would be its underlying structure. It is a modular build in that all
functions run independently. Keyword Elite has help alleviate this somewhat by
using “right click” menus to add selected results to the next part of
the keyword research phase.

One feature (which I don’t get much use out
of frankly) that is very powerful is the ability to create adsense web pages
with only a few clicks. Keyword Elite will allow you to grab free articles from
one of the aggregator’s and instantly format it in a ready to go AdSense page.
Google doesn’t appreciate this too much but the functionality is there.

Article Underground Review

January 15th, 2008

Here is my article underground review after being with them for the past 6 months.

Article
Underground is a PLR and content linking membership site. It cost $97 per month. What this means is
they provide their members with all sorts of tools to build, promote and profit
from monetised websites (i.e. the type with adverts on them). I guess AU are
mainly targeting the Adsense crowd, but there’s plenty for everyone.

The
main attraction to Article Underground is the 400 new keyword-targeted articles
available to members each month. That’s right -
four hundred a
month! I don’t know who the writers are, but I hope they have plenty of spare
keyboards! These articles are touted as highly
SEO-optimised and claimed to be “ban proof”. What they mean
by “ban proof” is this isn’t scraped content from other sites - it is real,
human-written text that won’t be seen as spam by search engine robots.

The
other half of
AU’s
system, are the 22 or so high pagerank blogs members can use to link to
individual articles published on their sites providing backlinks and “Google
Juice”.

SEO Improvements in Build A Niche Store (BANS) 3

January 11th, 2008

Build a Niche Store 3
or BANS, is a powerful eBay affiliate software package. You can
quickly set up a storefront selling niche products and make a profit
off of the fees that eBay charges. BANS has no limit to the number of
stores a license can support, so install as many copies as you’d like.

BANS has suffered from poor support for detailed search engine optimization. BANS 3 will support better optimization through cloaking of eBay affiliate links and the ability to tailor the eBay listings to your particular needs, such as displaying only local auctions, or limiting the price range you wish to display.

With these improvements it will be easier to rank higher with BANS while making it difficult for eBay to penalize your store for duplicate content. Expect some fierce competition for key spots with the latest version, BANS 3.0.

Excellent Templates

Although BANS 3 comes with additional templates, nothing beats the custom touch. Designer Niches is producing some excellent BANS templates that can spruce up your site!

Vital Elements for SEO

January 4th, 2008

A mass of advice can be found on the Internet regarding the things
people ought to do in order to obtain high rankings with Google and
other SE’s. It’s easy to become confused if you devour all the
information that is available, because some folks agree with others
while some totally disagree and offer dissimilar advice.

You
can be very suspicious of any advice given by somebody who says you
should use search engine submissions, employ traffic exchanges, or
employ Free For All (FFA) sites. That is so outdated it’s not funny.

Recently
a well-known selection of SEO professionals provided their consensus
opinions to SEOmoz regarding what is important for outstanding search
engine rankings today.

According to the consensus views of
the SEO professionals, the following are the 4 heavy-hitter ranking
factors for search engine listings.

Keywords in the Title

It’s
very important to employ the right keywords when writing the title tag
of a web page. Not only does it promote improved rankings, it also
assists with the click-through from the SE listings to the destination
page. It is of little value to be listed high in the results and not
receive a high number of clicks. The ultimate purpose is to get as many
visits to the web site as feasible.

The search engine
highlights in bold the keywords that were typed in by the web surfer.
When part of the page title is bolded, it gives the listing a better
chance of being seen and getting that mouse click. Nevertheless,
highlighted keywords aren’t the only thing to take into consideration
when writing the title.

A wisely crafted page title tag,
that invites the user to click through, can result in a lot of extra
clicks. It’s better to gain 100 clicks from the fifth listing through
having a great title than fifty clicks from the third listing with a
poor page title, right?

The Anchor Text that’s Used in Links to Your Site

The
anchor text that is employed in the link that points to your site from
an external web site weighs heavily in the search engine computations
to figure out what your web site is focused on. Additionally, what your
web site is all about defines mostly what keywords it will rank for in
the SERPs.

If you can influence in any way the anchor text
that external web sites use when they link to you, then it’s an
extremely prudent way of investing your time.

The more web
sites that have links to your web site using a particular set of
keywords, or alternate versions of that keyword, will prompt the SE’s
to more readily believe that your site is focused on that particular
keyword.

It is far more advantageous if the content of the
page on your site contains that specific keyword and phrases similar in
meaning.

Universal Link Popularity of the Web Site

The
volume of hyperlinks that are pointed to a site is utilized by the
search engines to figure out the importance of a site. They take into
account both quality of hyperlinks and quantity of links.

The
more distinct web sites that link to your site, the higher the search
engines will calculate the perceived importance of your site.

Building
backlinks doesn’t stop. There can never be enough backlinks pointing to
your site. True, it is possible to build backlinks too quickly and that
can trigger some alerts in the algorithms of the search engines.
However, if it’s performed as an ongoing action employing a longer term
outlook, every backlink deserves the resources spent in acquiring it.
The links all contribute to a higher perceived importance of your web
site.

Internal Link Structure of Your Web Site and Ensuing Link Popularity

It’s
a fact that some of your pages will gain more backlinks than others.
Those that do not attract lots of external links might be the true
money pages that you’d want to rank high in the search engines.

Internal
linking structure, in addition to the anchor text used for the internal
links, is the way to disperse PageRank inside your own site.

Some
SEO professionals believe that an internal link carries the same value
as a link from an external page. That does not mean your web site will
gain high rankings by having only internal links. What it does mean is
that you can cause a page to be ranked by pointing internal links to it
even though it does not have a lot of external backlinks, on the
condition that the rest of your web site has gained sufficient PageRank
from external links.

Finally

Search engine
optimization might appear daunting when one looks at it in its
entirety. But, when broken down into its focus areas, there are a
select number of comparatively uncomplicated things one can focus on
and get the largest benefits.
